The brilliant Fat Lad at The Back are helping me out with some of their brilliantly crafted cycling gear for this mega ride! Thank you so much for being such a supportive and positive business <3

Making cycling fun for everyone.

Fat Lad at the Back (FLAB) wants everyone to be able access cycling and feel welcome in the cycling community regardless of size, age, or ability.

They specialise in plus size cycling clothing that properly fits bigger bodies. Their founders champion inclusivity within cycling.

Over the last 10 years their community of over 10,000 cyclists has continued to grow. Their local social rides across the country create opportunities for people to get into cycling, meet other cyclists and just have some fun.

FLAB are helping by sponsoring my cycling gear. This means their brilliantly designed clothing will be keeping me comfy on every mile of this ride. With a women’s range which considers both curves and comfort I can trust the ride will be a smidge less painful.

Their mission to challenge the stereotypes of cycling and to break down barriers in sport mirror the goals of this challenge and Rape Crisis; to break the stereotypes of what a survivor looks like and the barriers to justice which pervade society.

We both want to use our love of cycling to make change in society. Their anti-fatphobia perspective, which pushes back on body-shaming and ideas of conventional beauty, is intrinsically tied to intersectional feminism, something at the core of Rape Crisis’s work.
